Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: DJJ Youth Ambassadors

At the Florida Youth Foundation, we believe in the power and promise of our young people. Each year, we are proud to honor the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice’s Youth Ambassadors — young individuals who exemplify resilience, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth.

Our annual recognition of DJJ Youth Ambassadors is more than a ceremony — it’s a celebration of transformation and a testament to what’s possible when we invest in the potential of youth. These ambassadors represent the very best of what the future holds, and through our support, we help equip them with the tools needed to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.

This distinguished honor is highlighted each year during the Florida Juvenile Justice Association (FJJA) and DJJ Legislative Reception, where state leaders, community partners, and advocates gather to celebrate the accomplishments of these outstanding young people and the power of second chances.

Thanks to the generous support of our community partner, Peter Boulware Toyota, we are able to go beyond recognition. Their investment allows us to provide scholarships that directly support the educational and professional development of our Youth Ambassadors. Together, we are creating pathways to success, breaking cycles, and building a brighter future — one young leader at a time.
